Under solicitation PD5711SAT102MOD16, Lockheed Martin is required to provide essential transportation for contract employees supporting Afghan Military Training Services and Air Force Security Assistance Training in Kabul, Afghanistan. Because the U.S. Government is unable to provide the necessary vehicles, Lockheed Martin must lease both armored and soft skin vehicles from local vendors to ensure the safety and mobility of personnel. This requirement is managed through the General Services Administration and is specifically tied to the execution of Task Order PD5711SAT102. The contract was awarded as a non-competitive action under the authority of only one responsible source, with Garda World identified as the lowest cost vendor. The estimated value for the remainder of Option Year 2 is 366,248.80 dollars. This procurement ensures that critical training services can continue by filling the gap in Government Furnished Equipment through private sector leasing.
