Fauquier County Government and Public Schools are reaching out to local businesses who provide valuable services and/or goods to various County Departments and Public Schools to provide you with an opportunity to participate in a local vendor discount program. We have had great success in the past utilizing a similar program with our local businesses located in and around the County Department and the Public School locations. Our goals in utilizing this Vendor Discount Program are to help provide our departments and schools with “convenience” contracts to encourage use of the many important local vendors in their immediate area.
Once we receive your signed agreement, and the documents as stated above, we will review. Once approved Fauquier County will send you an email confirmation of your participation and add your company to the list of participating vendors. Your information will then be distributed to the applicable County and School using departments, via posting on our Contract Listing webpage, so they may utilize this convenience contract, as needed, using a purchase order or credit card, if applicable. As noted in this document, Purchases made under this Agreement will be governed by the Fauquier County Procurement Policy and current spending thresholds will apply. No purchase made under this Agreement shall exceed $10,000.00 without first seeking competition from other sources.

SFA - Northeast Space Defense & Innovation Summit (NESDIS)Space Summit 2026, officially titled SFA - Northeast Space Defense & Innovation Summit, is a three-day forum hosted at the MITRE Bedford Campus in Bedford, Massachusetts, designed to assess and enhance the resilience, performance, and survivability of the Northeast space ecosystem. The event brings together government, industry, and academic stakeholders to evaluate current space capabilities and develop strategies that ensure uninterrupted delivery of critical space services such as satellite communications, positioning, navigation and timing, sensing, and electromagnetic waveform availability for both military and commercial users. The summit will place particular emphasis on the integration of space resilience with strategic mission priorities, including command, control, battlespace management, and broader modernization efforts that rely on the continued functionality and security of space-based systems. The event is organized by the Space Systems Command under the Department of the Air Force and is open to participants from the Department of Defense, private sector companies, and academic institutions. Registration is managed through a dedicated portal, and while no solicitation number or NAICS code is listed, the summit serves as a collaborative platform rather than a procurement event. Focus areas include advancing operational adaptability, strengthening partnerships across the space enterprise, and aligning innovation with national security imperatives in an increasingly contested and congested space environment. The summit aims to foster dialogue and coordinate efforts that will shape the future of resilient space services in the Northeast region and beyond.
