The purpose of this Vendor Outreach meeting is to provide an opportunity for Vendors from around the country to describe their ability to provide and manufacture soft-sided shelters. In order to better serve disaster survivors, FEMA, its Federal Partners, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are committed to examining the market for best practices, improved product capabilities, and innovative designs. This dialogue will serve the dual purpose of allowing vendors to gain insight into FEMA's unique product needs and providing FEMA with the information that can assist in the development of disaster planning on all levels. This shelter support will be requested during responses to catastrophic disasters anywhere within the United States, including its territories. For additional information and instructions, please see the attached Statement of Objectives (SOO). REMEMBER TO provide your company's Capabilities Statement by April 11, 2011 and inform us of your intent to attend and participate. If there are any questions, please EMAIL them to Ms. Oneko Dunbar at Oneko.Dunbar@dhs.gov.
