RFP/Q#2626-003 Marina Operations Management Services
Solicitation # 2627-003
The City of Redondo Beach is soliciting proposals under RFP/Q 2627-003 for a qualified firm to provide comprehensive day-to-day operations management, maintenance, and operational services for the Redondo Beach Marina. The selected contractor will serve as the City's operational agent for an initial three-year agreement, overseeing a facility that includes 58 boat slips, four docking areas, and 25 transient vessel moorings. Key responsibilities include maintaining a staffed on-site office, managing commercial and recreational slips, operating a boat hoist with 24-hour emergency availability, and ensuring the overall aesthetics and safety of the waterfront. Additionally, the firm will be expected to manage and operate a new public boat launch anticipated for completion by 2030. The City will evaluate proposals based on qualifications, relevant experience, technical approach, and sample reports, with a focus on the best overall value rather than the lowest cost. Proposers are encouraged to submit bundled bids with related waterfront property management and real estate brokerage solicitations to demonstrate potential economies of scale. Performance will be measured against strict standards, including maintaining at least 90 percent occupancy and achieving high accuracy in maintenance and tenant reporting. Proposals must be submitted in PDF format via the OpenGov portal by November 6, 2026, and must include an all-inclusive fee schedule covering monthly management, hourly personnel rates, and technology expenses.

NOAAPort Replacement Capabilities
Solicitation # 142083-27-0002
The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the National Weather Service (NWS) have issued Request for Information (RFI) No. 142083-27-0002 to conduct market research for the replacement of the legacy NOAAPort Satellite Broadcast Network (SBN). The government is seeking information on innovative, high-reliability distribution capabilities—which could be cloud-based, terrestrial, satellite, or hybrid—to deliver mission-critical weather data to a geographically dispersed user community. The replacement system must support the exchange, ingestion, processing, and distribution of data products and must integrate with the NWS Hydrometeorological Interactive Virtual Environment (HIVE) and the Centralized Integrated Real-Time Repository for Unified Services (CIRRUS) using common internet protocols such as APIs and MQTT. This notice is for planning purposes only and is not a solicitation for award; no funds have been authorized or appropriated for this effort at this time. The NWS intends to deactivate the legacy SBN as early as August 31, 2027, and is requesting industry feedback on technical architectures, cloud migration strategies, security protocols, and rough order of magnitude cost estimates. Interested respondents must submit their responses in Microsoft Word or PDF format to the designated points of contact by October 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The government is utilizing this RFI to inform its acquisition strategy and evaluate potential small business set-aside opportunities under NAICS code 541512.
