Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic intends to awarda sole source contract to L3 Communications Interstate Electronics Corporation(L3-IEC), San Diego, CA for the upgrade of VideoScout Family of Systems (FoS)and the supply of additional FoS assets. The FoS consists of VideoScout MC,VideoScout CM, VideoScout MXR, and VideoScout Flex systems. The contractorshall be required to make improvements in data fusion, data confidentiality,frequency spectrum flexibility, waveform interoperability, and local/remoteoperations. The contractor shall utilize in-depth knowledge of the VideoScoutFoS software and its architecture and software requirements to upgrade theexisting systems, analyze software performance data, identify deficiencies, andprovide solutions to correct problems crucial to its operating system. Thecontractor shall be required to delivery various VideoScout FoS solutions.L3-IEC is the developer and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of theVideoScout FoS. The Government anticipates award of an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity,firm-fixed-price type contract, estimated at $85,000,000.00. The period ofperformance includes a base year and three one-year option periods. Theapplicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 334511 andthe size standard is 750 employees.
