Virginia State Forest Invasive Species Treatments

The Virginia Department of Forestry is seeking a licensed and insured pesticide applicator to manage invasive plant species across six counties—Appomattox, Buckingham, Chesterfield, Cumberland, King William, and Rockingham—using foliar and basal bark applications with backpack sprayers. The contractor must hold a valid Virginia pesticide license and carry appropriate insurance to perform treatments at specified locations detailed in attached site maps. Work will focus on controlling listed invasive plants through targeted herbicide applications, requiring experience with backpack spraying equipment and knowledge of local vegetation and regulatory requirements. All bidding must be submitted by the deadline of July 27, 2026, in response to Solicitation Number IFB-124043, posted on July 10, 2026. Proposals must demonstrate compliance with state regulations and the ability to safely and effectively carry out treatments in diverse terrestrial environments.
