Navy Visibility and Management Operation and Support Costs (VAMOSC)Program, Department of the Navy VAMOSC program is conducted in accordancewith the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Navy (OASN) and the FinancialManagement and Comptroller (FM&C) guidance. The Fleet Industrial SupplyCenter, Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends toprovide continued technical and program support via modification to contractN00140-06-C-0025 on a sole source basis with the incumbent IBM GlobalBusiness Systems. This sole source modification is intended to extend thecurrent period of performance from 16 January 2011 through 31 March 2011.This extension is required to provide interim support while a competitivesolicitation is held within the Seaport-e portal. IBM as the incumbent contractor is the only source that can provide therequired seamless support for this short duration. The scope of the workrequired by this contract includes database operations and maintenance,database enhancements and modernization, IT Support, training and specialanalysis. VAMOSC consists of 14 very large data bases service of whichincludes Database Operations and Maintenance; Database Enhancement andModernization; VAMOSC Information Technology (IT) Support; DocumentationUpdate; VAMOSC User Conferences/Training Sessions Support; and SpecialAnalyses. The anticipated extension to the contract period of performanceis two and a half months, beginning approximately January 16, 2010 andending March 31, 2011. The closing date of this sole source synopsis is 7 January 2011. TheGovernment intends to issue a modification to the above referenced CostPlus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract.
