Solicitation # SSP27-D001
The Department of the Navy, through NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka, is conducting market research via a Request for Information and Sources Sought notice for the 7th Fleet Welder Qualification and Sustained Capability Program. The objective is to identify qualified commercial ship repair facilities within the 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility, excluding Hawaii, to fill a capability gap in welding for ship repair and maintenance. The government intends to utilize FAR Part 12 for the acquisition of commercial products and services, likely awarding Firm-Fixed-Price contracts based on technical merit, corporate experience in naval ship repair, and price reasonableness. Contractors must provide commercially qualified all-position SMAW welders and certified NDT personnel for Visual, Radiographic, and Magnetic Particle inspections. Eligible facilities must hold an active Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) or Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR). Interested sources must submit a company profile and rough-order-of-magnitude cost estimates by November 15, 2026.
