The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salem, Virginia, through the VISN 6 Centralized Acquisition Service, intends to enter into a sole source agreement with Blue Ridge Medical Imaging Inc. for the temporary rental of a special procedures suite, specifically a mobile Siemens Angiostar Plus system, for a period of two months. This contract addresses an immediate need for this mobile imaging equipment, which the VA asserts can only be met by Blue Ridge Medical Imaging due to their local presence and capability to provide prompt delivery and responsive onsite service, including technician support in the event of equipment breakdown. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 603.2, and no solicitation documents or telephone inquiries will be entertained as this is not a competitive request.
