The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 plans to award a sole-source fixed-price contract to Interior Fusion, LLC for the provision of specialty medical bed rentals and related supplies at the VA Medical Center in Orlando, Florida, including its Community Living Center. The award is expected around October 29, 2022, with a six-month performance period following the notice to proceed. This non-competitive procurement is justified under federal regulations due to the urgent need to avoid service interruptions, as the current contract expires on October 31, 2021, and any delay could adversely affect patient care. The requirement falls under NAICS code 339113 with a size standard of 750, and the Product Service Code W065. Although this is not an open solicitation, the VA invites any responsible vendors to submit offers and technical narratives within one day of the notice’s publication, demonstrating their capability to meet the requirement. Such submissions will be reviewed to determine whether to open the procurement to competition, but the decision remains at the discretion of the government. All responses must be directed to Contract Specialist Norbert Reed III at the contact information provided. The contracting office is located in Orlando, FL, with administrative oversight through Network Contracting Office 8.
