The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal intended to award a three-year firm fixed price requirements contract under solicitation W56HZV-20-R-0134 for Contractor Field Service Site Managers. These representatives were tasked with supporting the Rough Terrain Container Handler RT240 within the U.S. Army Central Command Area of Responsibility to ensure continuous support for Forward Operating Bases and Special Operations Forces. The government planned to execute this as a sole source contract with Independent Rough Terrain Center, LLC, citing the need for highly specialized services to avoid unacceptable delays. The proposed scope of work included a base year and two optional 12-month periods, covering costs for program management, field service representatives, travel, lodging, and other direct supplies. However, as of May 11, 2021, this requirement was officially cancelled and will not be pursued at this time. If the need for these services becomes valid in the future, the government will release a new synopsis to inform the public.
