Water Services Truck

The Region of Waterloo has issued Request for Tender T2026-239 for the supply and delivery of one Water Services Truck. The vehicle must be built on a Ford 550 XL Chassis with a 6.7 displacement diesel engine providing at least 223 KW (300 HP) and 880 Nm (650 ft-lbs) of torque, and it must be compatible with B20 ULSD diesel biofuel blends. A key technical requirement includes a TC-110 Controller that is water resistant and meets IP68 and MIL-STD-810H military specifications. The contract will be awarded to the lowest compliant bidder, and the Region intends to establish the successful proponent as a Vendor of Record for Water Services Trucks for a two-year period ending October 31, 2028. Bids must be submitted electronically via the Region's bidding system by October 16, 2026, at 2:00:59 p.m. Eastern local time. All prices must be in Canadian funds and include all freight and delivery charges, as the unit is delivered F.O.B. to the Region's Operation Centre in Cambridge, Ontario. The successful vendor is required to provide ownership documents, manuals, and a maintenance parts list upon delivery. Mandatory requirements include maintaining liability insurance of $2,000,000 per occurrence, registration with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Final acceptance of the vehicle is expected approximately 15 days after delivery, following a regional inspection.
