WATERFRONT PARK/HOTEL/HOSTEL

The project involves a major expansion and redevelopment of the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, consisting of a 50,195-square-foot addition to Building B (Bougainvillea), the removal of two guest rooms, and the reconfiguration of six existing guest rooms within the same building. Building A (Azalea), a 4,027-square-foot structure containing eight guest rooms, along with the adjacent tennis courts and a 240-square-foot tennis shop, will be fully demolished. The net result is an increase in guest rooms from 360 to 433 and a total facility square footage growth from 329,780 to 375,708 square feet. Alongside the structural changes, the project includes new recreational amenities such as lanai pools, a swimming pool, a spa, and an outdoor fire pit lounge with a bar, as well as significant site improvements including stormwater management, soil and groundwater remediation, and new landscaping. A total of 22 trees will be removed, 33 relocated, 47 protected, and 50 new trees planted as part of environmental mitigation. Parking capacity will be reduced from 931 to 880 spaces, with 100 of those allocated to the adjacent Waterfront Hotel via an existing easement, leaving 780 spaces dedicated to the Hilton, supplemented by 71 valet spaces during peak events. Bicycle parking will expand from 58 to 100 spaces. The project is located at 433 E.
