SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking to purchase the Welch Allyn Connex 6800 Vital Signs Monitor and related accessories through a procurement process authorized by Premier under section 163 (3) (vi) of New York State law, which allows for direct purchases from consortium contracts when justified by competitive pricing. Vendors interested in offering equivalent products must demonstrate clinical performance comparable to the Welch Allyn device, provide supporting clinical documentation at no cost, and supply equipment for evaluation and trial purposes. The vendor must also be authorized to sell the listed products or approved equivalents under the Premier contract. The procurement process emphasizes strict adherence to New York State lobbying laws, limiting contact to a designated individual, Virginia Frost, to avoid violations that could impact contract award or result in debarment. The contract requires vendors to submit current NYS Workman’s Compensation and Disability Forms and involves the purchase of 38 units of the Welch Allyn Connex 6800 Vital Signs Monitors and 38 mobile stand accessories. The solicitation is open to any qualified vendors, with a due date of February 14, 2024, and is located in Onondaga County, New York. This is a single procurement with no set-aside goals for minority, women, or service-disabled veteran-owned businesses.
