Wildland Fire Safety Boots

The Department of National Defence, through the Technical Procurement Service of Valcartier Garrison, is soliciting bids for 40 pairs of wildland and forest firefighting safety boots under solicitation number W0106-26G001, with a closing date of June 29, 2026, at 07:30 Eastern Time. The boots must meet strict technical specifications including a 9-inch black design constructed of Sun Reflect and bovine leather, a composite protective toe cap with an external TPU cover, a zipper and lace closure system, puncture-resistant and heat-resistant soles, a Crosstech inner lining, a washable and replaceable insole, and a steel shank reinforcement. The boots must be waterproof, flame-resistant, tear-resistant, provide electrical hazard protection, and exhibit chemical resistance against bloodborne pathogens and hazardous agents, compliant with CAN/CSA Z195, NFPA 1977, CAN/CGSB 155.22, NFPA 1999, ASTM F2413, NFPA 1951, and NFPA 1990 (1992). The maximum weight for a size 9 boot must not exceed 1,270 grams. All materials supplied must be new and conform to the latest applicable drawings and specifications as of the offer closing date or contract date. The contract includes a firm order for 40 pairs and an option for up to five additional pairs to be requested until March 31, 2027. The contractor must use the most direct and economical shipping method consistent with Canadian practice and avoid over-packaging.
