Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Justification: Supplies required are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Wind River Systems, 112 Hidden Creek Dr., Hatboro, PA 19040 for VxWorks 653 Platform 2.3.0.1 software licenses and requisite maintenance support under the authority listed above and under authority of FAR Part 12, FAR Part 13, and FAR 6.302-1. Wind River Systems is the sole manufacturer of the commercially available VxWorks 653 software. The Government does not own the data rights to the data or software code and cannot reproduce the VxWorks Software. The VxWorks Software is a proprietary product of Wind River Systems, Inc. and no other company has the data rights to sell the VxWorks Software to the Federal Government.
