WRF #1 - RETURN ACTIVATED SLUDGE PIPELINE REPAIR PROJECT

The City of Corona Public Works Department is soliciting sealed bids for the WRF#1 Return Activated Sludge Pipeline Repair Project, identified as Project No. JL 79500572 and NIB No. 27-007SB. The selected contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to complete the repair work, which includes mobilization, selective site demolition, removal and disposal of 415 feet of pipe, installation of 436 feet of ceramic epoxy lined ductile iron pipe, and the installation of a magnetic flow meter. The project must be completed within 90 working days, following a 15-calendar day move-in period for utility confirmation and procurement. Bids are due electronically via PlanetBids by September 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. To qualify, bidders or their subcontractors must demonstrate at least three years of experience performing similar projects for multiple public agencies within a 150-mile radius of Corona, with each project having a minimum value of 250,000 dollars. Mandatory requirements include compliance with California prevailing wage laws, DIR registration, and the submission of a non-collusion declaration. The contractor must provide a bid bond of at least 10 percent of the bid amount, and the winning bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the total bid price. Additionally, the contractor must maintain commercial general liability insurance of at least 2 million dollars per occurrence and employer's liability insurance of 1 million dollars per person per accident. Liquidated damages for project delays are set at 1,400 dollars per calendar day.
