The contract involves two interconnected projects in Temescal Canyon Road and Cajalco Road, focusing on infrastructure improvements. The first component, the WRF-3 Sewer Force Main project, requires the installation of approximately 1,895 feet of dual 10-inch HDPE pipe, including specialized construction methods such as a 120-foot jack and bore with a steel casing beneath Bedford Wash and a 152-foot section of dual 16-inch HDPE casing to cross Temescal Canyon Road. Additionally, about 300 feet of 3-inch HDPE conduit and three pull boxes will be installed for future fiber optic infrastructure, although fiber installation is not included in this contract. Restoration work will address damages to existing improvements like asphalt, concrete, fencing, landscaping, and irrigation caused by construction activities. The second component, the Temescal Canyon Backbone Project, involves installing roughly 1,780 feet of 6-inch PVC electrical conduit and constructing three concrete vaults to support electrical infrastructure. A retaining wall will be built around one vault on Cajalco Road, and the conduits will connect to existing vaults on both Cajalco and Temescal Canyon Roads, with the conduit sharing the casing used in the sewer main installation. Similar to the first project, restoration of disturbed improvements is included. The contract is managed by the City of Corona, California, with a response deadline of May 21, 2019, and the primary contact being Holli Clear.
