Full Description
Notice is hereby given that the City of Wright City will receive sealed bids at City Hall, Office of the Director of City Services, 636 Westwoods Road, Wright City, Missouri until 2:00 p.m. local time, September 16, 2026 at which time all bids for the WRIGHT CITY PARK-PHASE 1B SKATE PARK AND PUMP TRACK project, will be publicly opened and read.
The Contract work shall include earthwork, grading, base rock, p.c. concrete pavement, connection to existing storm sewer, electrical service, lighting, seeding, sod, constructing skate park and asphalt pump track, and miscellaneous improvements.
The bid shall be made on a form of proposal, provided in the specifications and delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside WRIGHT CITY PARK-PHASE 1B SKATE PARK AND PUMP TRACK to City Hall on or before the time specified above. No facsimiles will be accepted. The bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check of a bank or trust company in Warren County, St. Charles County, City of Wright City, St. Louis County, or in the City of St. Louis for an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid amount. The amount of the check shall be forfeited to the City if the bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract or to furnish bond after their bid has been accepted.
The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond and payment bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount and shall file certificates with the City that he has obtained and will continue to carry workmen's compensation insurance, public and private liability, and property damage insurance, and builder's risk insurance in an adequate amount for the duration of the contract.
The City intends to award a contract to the lowest responsible and responsive contractors or suppliers who have the ability to perform successfully under the terms and conditions of the contract. The City reserves the right in the City’s sole discretion to reject any bids for a sound, documented reason, to waive technicalities or deficiencies in any or all bids. The award must be given to the lowest qualified bidder. Unsuccessful bidders shall be notified.
The City may make such investigations as they deem necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work, and the bidder shall furnish to the City all such information and data for this purpose as the City may request. The City reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such bidder fails to satisfy the owner that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. Conditional bids will not be accepted.
The successful bidder shall comply with applicable State law provisions concerning the payment of prevailing wages on public works projects (the “Prevailing Wage Law,” §§290.210 to 290.340 RSMo.).
The City of Wright City hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry or national origin in consideration for an award. Federal Land and Water Conservation Funds are being used in this project, and all relevant federal, state, and local requirements apply.
