WWTP Modifications & Improvements

The City of Dawson is seeking sealed bids for a comprehensive wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) upgrade project scheduled for completion within 420 calendar days. The project involves extensive modifications to the existing WWTP infrastructure, including the complete replacement of the raw sewage influent pumping station, upgrades to the emergency pumping station, installation of a new headworks unit with screening and grit removal systems, and rehabilitation of existing clarifiers and the aerobic sludge digester. Additional work encompasses earthwork, piping, valves, mechanical and electrical systems, process instrumentation, painting, erosion control, stormwater monitoring, and other related appurtenances necessary for the successful completion of the project. Funding is secured through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund administered by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority, and the project will adhere to Davis-Bacon wage standards, DBE subcontracting requirements, and the American Iron and Steel Act. Bidders are invited to submit their proposals by December 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM local time at the City of Dawson’s office.
