The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a SF 1449 Solicitation /Contract/Order for Commercial Items to the Sheraton Colony Square, Atlanta, GA to provide conference facilities, sleeping accommodations, parking and other business related services such as phone lines for internet connections. We anticipate a total of 1600 federal professional, but only 92 rooms for overnight accommodations for 10 nights for the the 2006 Incoming EIS Officer Class attending the 2006 Annual Scientific Conference to be held April 24-28, 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia. Market research has determined that the Sheraton Colony Square, Atlanta, GA is the only known source of lodging and facilities with the resources available at this time for the period needed. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with Offerors providing the requested services. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a technical and price standpoint. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 721110 and the size standard is $6,000,000 for this requirement. This requirement is unrestricted, allowing both large and small business to submit proposals. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the services in this synopsis should submit two (2) copies of a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TNN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the service quoted. The quotation must reference Solicitation number 2006Q42428. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or April 5, 2006, by 8:30 a.m. local time, whichever is later. The capability statement and any other furnished information must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow CDC to determine if the party can fully meet the requirements herein. This action is pursuant to (41 U.S.C. 428a) and under the authority of FAR 13.5. The requirement will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12.102(c) under the test program. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
