The new requirement will increase to approximately 70,000 rsf for EOIR and 30,640 rsf for DHS (based on a 17.65% building load factor). A variety of inexpensive and moderately priced fast food and/or eat-in restaurants must be located within three blocks as well as other amenities such as retail shops, cleaners, banks, etc. must also be available within one-quarter mile. In addition, moving costs of $5.00 per usable sq. foot will be added to competing offers. Buildings offered must be of sound and substantial construction of the type generally recognized as modern office having adequate means of ingress and egress; must fully meet the accessibility requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standard (ABAAS); must be altered or constructed to meet the government's requirement, and must be fully serviced.
