Expressions of Interest Sought Requirement: The US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) currently occupies 29,000 contiguous net usable square feet (NUSF) of warehouse and related space in a building under lease in Carolina, Puerto Rico, that will be expiring. The VA intends to Sole-Source a lease to the owner of the building in order to continue occupancy. The lease term requirement is for a term of three (3) Years. The space must be available for occupancy by September 1, 2022. Space within or fronting on the following boundaries will be considered: North: Ocean South: Highway 199 & 861 East: Highway 188 West: Highway 693& 165 The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. The Government will use the information it receives in response to this advertisement as a basis to develop a cost-benefit analysis and to determine whether to compete the lease requirement or to remain at its current location. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government's requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
