The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Region 6 Mountain Prairie Region seeks to identify qualified small business contractors interested in building a new 2,000-square-foot bunkhouse with an additional 500-square-foot basement storm shelter at the Rainwater Basin Wetland Management District in Nebraska. This sources sought notice aims to gather market information and gauge interest from businesses classified under Small Business, HUBZONE, 8(a), Woman Owned, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned categories. The bunkhouse will be a one-story wood-framed structure on a concrete foundation designed to accommodate up to eight non-permanent staff. The project scope includes the installation of energy-efficient HVAC and appliances, ADA-compliant accessibility features, a domestic well, septic system, site preparation including a gravel driveway and parking, as well as utility connections, with the total estimated project value expected to be between $500,000 and $600,000. This initiative follows a previous unsuccessful attempt in 2017 to solicit contractors for the project, where no proposals were received, likely due to timing conflicts and the remote location near Funk, Nebraska. The Fish and Wildlife Service is now considering reissuing the solicitation in the fall of 2017 with construction anticipated to begin in April 2018. Interested businesses are invited to submit company information such as size classification, certifications under relevant small business programs, registration details, and their interest in serving as the prime contractor. This notice is strictly for market research purposes, does not constitute a solicitation, and carries no obligation for contract award. Responses must be submitted in writing by September 21, 2017.

SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Sources Sought for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 6, Mountain Prairie Region, Contracting and General Services to Construct New Bunkhouse at Rainwater Basin Wetland Mgt District, NE This is not a Pre-Solicitation or a Solicitation Announcement. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The purpose of this sources sought is to seek interest and gain market knowledge of potential small business sources and their size classifications, either Small Business (SB), HUBZONE, 8(a), Woman Owned, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) relative to qualifications necessary to build a 2000 SF (with additional 500 sf basement area for storm shelter usage) bunkhouse for the US Fish & Wildlife Service at Rainwater Basin Wetland Management District, NE. This site is considered somewhat remote from most significant population areas in Nebraska and is physically located near Funk NE, in Phelps County Nebraska, which is roughly 25 miles southeast of Kearney NE. As a result of this assumption, US Fish & Wildlife is now seeking interest from qualified contractors considering possibly red-issuing the solicitation this fall ( September /October 2017) requesting proposals by late fall and making an award by December 2017 with construction to start in APRIL 2018. Also includes a domestic well, complete septic system and drainage field, site work, gravel driveway, gravel parking, installation and connection of site utilities, and all systems shown on drawings and specified herein. Project Location: Rainwater Basin Wetland Management District, 73746 V Road, Funk, NE 68940; North of Funk, Nebraska in the West ½ of Section 2, Township 6 North, Range 17 West, Phelps County, Nebraska. This is not a solicitation and responses will not be considered as proposals to perform the work and in no way obligates the Government to award a contract. This is Market Research Information Only. Please provide responses to this sources sought notice to: contact@example.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Provide responses in writing no later than September 21, 2017. Responses to this sources sought announcement will not be considered as a response to any solicitation, or a request to be added to a prospective bidders list, or to receive a copy of any solicitation. University Station Residential ProjectThe University Station Residential Project is a development initiative by the City of Santa Clara and Bixby Land Company to transform a site in Santa Clara, California, by demolishing four office buildings and two parking garages. The project will replace these structures with a new five-story building containing up to 297 multi-family residential units and 111 three-story townhouse units distributed across 26 buildings. The project is subject to extensive environmental oversight under the California Environmental Quality Act, with a Final Environmental Impact Report certified in August 2026. Key regulatory requirements include the implementation of mitigation measures for biological and cultural resources, such as protecting nesting birds and conducting archaeological monitoring with Native American monitors. The project must also adhere to strict standards for floodplain management, stormwater runoff, ADA compliance, and transportation demand management. While the project is listed as a forecast with a posted date of September 25, 2026, it is managed as a land-use and planning effort rather than a federal procurement contract, and as such, it does not contain FAR clauses or federal pricing structures.
