Y--Announcement of Award of Contract - Fargo VA Medical Center Floodwall and Levee Reconstruction Project, Fargo, North Dakota.

This solicitation is for the Fargo VA Medical Center Flood Control Project. The Fargo VA Medical Center has a primary mission to provide superior care to Veterans by providing an environment that is safe and quiet . This project must not interfere wi th that level of care. The Fargo VA Medical Center Flood Control Project work includes all plant, labor, materials and equipment to construct a new floodwall and levee along the Red River of the North in Fargo, North Dakota. The new floodwall and levee wil l replace the current flood protection system and increase the level of protection provided to the VA Medical Center from flood events. Principal work items include, but are not limited to demolition of approximately 1,000 feet of existing sheetpile wall a nd the existing VA Medical Center pump station, excavation of approximately 50,000 cy of existing levee, the construction of approximately 1,000 feet of a new architecturally treated reinforced concrete floodwall, a new pump station and 10,000 cy of new le vee. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 with a small business size standard of $31,000,000. The estimated order of magnitude in terms of physical characteristics is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
