Full Description

The National Park Service, Yosemite National Park, (YOSE) has identified a requirement for a five (5) year (one base year, four option years) contract to purchase propane to be delivered to NPS owned tanks at several locations in Yosemite Valley within Yosemite N.P., CA. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://www.ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://www.ideasec.nbc.gov. The service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this web site periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the procurement documents. No other notifications will be sent. " Project Description: The anticipated order includes, but is not limited to the following: a five (5) year (one base year, four base years) contract to supply & deliver propane to 34 tanks at 27 locations in Wawona District. Total tank volume is 11,834 gallons (10,059 gallons @ 85%) Additional tanks may be added or deleted from this contract by the NPS at any time. Also, to monitor all tanks to ensure that all tanks are filled to a minimum of 50% at all times as well as provide repair and replacement service for tanks, regulators, meters, and above ground piping as required by the NPS. The vendor will provide supplier invoices prior to negotiation of pricing for tanks and other parts/materials. Deliveries will be made during business hours and individual receipts will be made available for signature by designated NPS employees within 24 hours of propane deliveries. This procurement is designated as a Full & Open.. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued o/a February 18, 2009 with a closing date of o/a March 18, 2009. Award selection will be based on the overall best value to the government after considering price and factors other than price.
