INTENT: The scope of this project consist of engaging two (2) Contractors to collaborate and complete the replacement of three (3) Dialysis Water Treatment and Delivery Systems in three (3) buildings of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center campus located at 820 South Damen Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Bed Tower Bldg. (Bldg. 40) Dialysis Treatment Suite Damen Bldg. (Bldg. 1A) The project will be divided into three (3) distinct and successive phases, one (1) phase for each building. One (1) of the phases shall involve work in 42 patient rooms which are expected to be challenging to access, and accomplished incrementally. The Contractor shall remove the three (3) existing Hemodialysis Water Systems, and provide restoration of finishes following the installation of new Water Treatment and Delivery Systems provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Designated Contractor. Work involves general construction, selective and mechanical demolition, asbestos floor tile and mastic abatement, finishes, plumbing, electrical, and special medical equipment.
