Z--Jacksonville Harbor Maintenance Dredging, 40-Foot Project, Bar Cut 3 through 48, and 38-FT Project, Cut G, Duval County, Jacksonville Harbor, Florida

The project work consists of a base bid and three (3) optional bid items. The project entails the excavation of approximately 600,000 cubic yards of shoal material from various locations within the 40-foot project channel and selected wideners between Bar Cut-3 and Cut-48; and from Cut-G of the old river channel west of Blount Island, which is a 38 foot-project. Base work consists of excavating approximately 426,000 cubic yards of shoal material from Bar Cut-3 through Cut-41. The base material will be transported to and placed in the Jacksonville Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS). Material resulting from the options will be transported to and placed in Cell A of the Buck Island Dredged Material Management Area (DMMA). Option A includes excavating approximately 42,000 cubic yards from Cut-42 and mobilization and demobilization to the Buck Island DMMA. Option B is to remove approximately 111,000 cubic yards from Cut-44 through Cut-48. Option C is to remove approximately 39,000 cubic yards from Cut-G of the old river channel. Incidental work for the base and all options includes endangered species monitoring, turbidity monitoring, and sea turtle non-capture sweep trawling.
