Full Description

This project will provide a complete replacement of the existing twelve (12) dolphins with new. This project will include the following improvements and specific details of the recommended plan can be found in the subsequent sections: A. Development of 12 new dolphins as replacement to the original 12 dolphins to accommodate both the protection of the fuel wharf and facilitate barge docking and fuel offloading operations at the fuel pier. The dolphins shall be aligned and installed in the general location as those which are being replaced. Where an existing dolphin has been removed and/or is no longer present, the dolphin location shall be as shown in Attachment A. If piles cannot be pulled due to them being submerged., the timber piles will be snapped off at the mud line. If any of the existing piles interfere with the installation of any of the new dolphins, the new dolphin location will be shifted slightly to compensate. B. Solar Powered Navigational and Marine Warning Lights; to include appropriate signage will be installed to better aid in navigation near the Fuel Wharf and Dolphins.
