The Department of Veterans Affairs, Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center 1500 Weiss St, Saginaw, Michigan, 48602 anticipates soliciting bids and consequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Replace Elevator Doors." The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (SEALED BIDDING) and Part 36 (CONSTRUCTION) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, supplies, travel, etc. to perform all work under this project which consists of: Contractor shall completely remove the existing Door equipment and install new GAL (brand or equivalent) door equipment of the passenger elevators of building 1, P1-1, P1-2. The new equipment includes, but not limited to new door operators, hangers, tracks, door locks, clutch, rollers, closers and linkages for all floors and the car. New door equipment shall be installed and wired with new fire proof wiring and hoist-way wiring as necessary. The contractor shall furnish and install new Elsco Model B roller guides on each car. The contractor shall realign car tracks and clean car tracks and repair the tracks as necessary. All work shall follow applicable building codes and furnish labor and materials and perform work for replacement of elevator door equipment and rollers, Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, Saginaw, Michigan as required by drawings and specifications. The period of performance is 120 calendar days for the entire project.
