Amendment to Solicitation 36C24826Q0535

The purpose of this amendment to is to extend the response due date from 8 Jun 2025 to 12 June 2025. Respond to questions emailed by contractors, (these are not all questions received). See below. There are no additional changes to the solicitation and there are no changes to the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Questions and responses: Could you please advise whether these certifications are mandatory requirements for award and performance, or whether contractors may propose personnel or subcontractors with equivalent roofing maintenance experience and qualifications? Yes, GAF Certification is Mandatory! Roof warranty is voided if not GAF Certified. Would you be able to provide the incumbent contractor information and, if available, the current contract value for this requirement? No, there is no current contractor performing these services. I noticed something in solicitation that I want to bring to your attention. The prohibitive requirement of Platinum GAF Certification, and here is the reason why. Platinum Certification is only given to companies that have done 100,000 sqft of GAF Roofing projects consecutively for two years. This certification is mostly held by large businesses, where as I am GAF Gold Elite certified contractor - one level below the Platinum. As a Gold Elite I can do everything Platinum certified holder can, including 25-year warranties. GAF Certification Required GAF level not specified however, must have a valid GAF Certification. Could you advise how would you like for your proposal to be submitted? Per instructions in the solicitation, in Addendum to FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors. We need to know what constitutes a minor repair in this project? It is a repair that can be completed utilizing a single 5 gallon bucket of GAF certified liquid sealant material. Contractor will prepare and submit a proposal to the COR of any repair greater than a 5 gallon bucket repair. We would like to do a full inspection of the roof to determine the extent of current repairs required to accurately address the issues and price fairly.  Without that there is risk for both parties.  A Site Visit was conducted, an additional walk through is acceptable after award. Are there VA approved sealants we can use to minimize the risk of odors. Sealants will/shall meet all GAF certifications prior to application. Pressure washing requires water is there any available on the roof or in a penthouse that we can access?  LCHCC will supply water through existing hose spickets, Contractor is responsible for hoses, power equipment, electrical cords, etc. to clean the roof.
