Z2DA--589A7-25-503 Prepare Site for Cath Lab Equipment FY26 NRM

The contract requires the contractor to fully renovate approximately 1,500 square feet of existing clinical space in Building 2 at the Robert J. Dole VAMC campus in Wichita, Kansas, to support the installation and operation of new cardiac catheterization equipment and its associated control and equipment rooms. Work includes selective demolition of existing systems and finishes, relocation and modification of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, installation of new partitions, doors, and hardware, and application of new interior finishes such as ceilings, flooring, wall protection, and paint. The contractor must also prepare the site for government-furnished equipment by installing structural supports, modifying shielding, running conduits, and ensuring proper utility interfaces. All work must comply fully with the provided contract drawings, specifications, and design narratives, and must include full hazardous materials abatement of asbestos, lead, and mold in accordance with VA, EPA, OSHA, and state/local regulations. Construction must be executed in a phased and carefully coordinated manner to ensure uninterrupted medical services, as the work occurs within an active, occupied clinical environment. Strict adherence to Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols, noise and vibration limits, and daily coordination with the VA Contracting Officer’s Representative and end users is mandatory.
