Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Agency All Hands Meeting

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is establishing a sole source contract with the North Bethesda Marriott Hotel and Conference Center to provide event space for its annual all employees meeting. The initial meeting is scheduled for September 15, 2014, with the agreement covering two subsequent years. The primary goal of these meetings is to allow Commissioners to review agency accomplishments, discuss future challenges, and engage with staff. The North Bethesda Marriott was selected because it is the only facility within walking distance of the NRC Headquarters capable of accommodating 1,200 attendees. This proximity is critical to maximizing staff participation and minimizing costs related to transportation and lost productivity. The venue was further justified based on its proven ability to meet the agency's specific security and meeting requirements through previous successful collaborations.
