The Contracts Services office within the Library of Congress supports the preservation, access, and modernization of the nation’s cultural and intellectual heritage through targeted procurement of information technology and media services. Its core mission centers on enabling digital stewardship of library collections, enhancing public access to archival materials, and sustaining the technological infrastructure required for large-scale digitization, metadata management, and digital preservation.
