SUNDT CONSTRUCTION, INC.

Sundt Construction, Inc. specializes in the design-build execution of complex civil infrastructure and commercial building projects, with proven expertise in highway, bridge, and institutional construction. The firm delivers mission-critical infrastructure under tight environmental and operational constraints, particularly in sensitive federal lands and military installations. Their technical capabilities include heavy civil earthwork, structural concrete systems, bridge rehabilitation, and integrated project delivery methods for public-sector clients requiring stringent safety, scheduling, and regulatory compliance. Sundt’s approach emphasizes constructability review, lean construction principles, and coordination with environmental and transportation agencies to ensure seamless project execution in constrained or high-visibility settings. The contractor has established direct relationships with the Department of Transportation and the Department of Defense, delivering high-value, long-duration infrastructure programs. For DOT, they execute multi-year task order contracts for national park transportation systems, focusing on roadway alignment, drainage, and bridge construction within ecologically sensitive corridors. For DoD, they deliver commercial and institutional building projects, including facility upgrades and new construction on military installations, requiring adherence to Unified Facilities Criteria and security protocols. Their primary industry focus is on NAICS 237310 for transportation infrastructure and 236220 for commercial and institutional building construction. This positions them as a mid-tier general contractor serving federal land management and defense sectors with turnkey solutions that integrate civil, structural, and mechanical systems. They specialize in projects requiring coordination with multiple regulatory bodies and complex logistics in remote or protected areas. Sundt Construction, Inc. is a privately held, second-tier entity headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, with no active federal certifications. Their operational footprint is concentrated in federal project corridors across the western U.S., particularly in national park and military base environments, where their experience in navigating federal procurement and environmental review processes provides a strategic advantage.
