The following narrative replaces the previous narrative: This procurement will provide JLENS engineering services for the US Army and other Department of Defense Service Branches. Award of a new cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), Andover, MA is anticipated for this procurement. Services provided for this requirement include program management, engineering, product assurance, integrated logistics support, documentation & configurations management, JLENS technical documentation, and integrated Air Defense support. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only one source responsible and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The period of performance is for a base year with a range period beginning with the basic contract award. The four additional years are range option which, if exercised, will extend the contract to five yea! rs.
