Questions & Answers #2 07 March 2012 Q: When do you need delivery -number of days or date? A: Per paragraph 3 of the solicitation letter, delivery is required 30 days ARO. Q: line 2 -Solar panels .. can you accept a panel with MC4 cables ? (instead of wiring conduit to juction box it has cables with MC4 connecton --this very reliable weather proof connection ... most solar panels these days come with this type connection... A: Solar panels are required to be configured with junction boxes. Q: I don't see a line for racking or mounting ? If you want racking let me know what you like ie... side of pole mount, roof track mount ,etc and how many panels per a mount/rack I can then suggest some... A: Not required. Q; Charge controller? -normally there is a charge controller between battery and solar panel ...this regulates solar panel ie prevents battery from being overcharged... A: Not required. Q; just to verify you want 24 batteries but only 20 panels? Are some batteries spares to to replace other batteries in use? A: There is no connection between the number of batteries and number of solar panels. Q: In the description of the solar panel, it says that the junction box needs to be conduit ready. What size conduit will be used and how many panels are going to be wired together? A: We will install two to three panels in a set and use a " watertight non-metallic flex conduit.
