NAVSEA Indian Head requires additional Man Transportable Robotic Systems (MTRS) and intends to modify an existing contract, N00174-03-D-0002, awarded to Foster-Miller, Inc. The modification focuses exclusively on expanding the scope of the current agreement with Foster-Miller, located in Waltham, MA, without soliciting bids from other vendors. This contract action reflects the ongoing support and procurement efforts for the MTRS platform within the Department of Defense, specifically managed by the NSWC Indian Head Division. The contract modification, posted as a presolicitation in April 2007, highlights the need to enhance capabilities by acquiring additional robotic systems. All inquiries related to this modification are directed to Jessica Scalfaro at the Navy, ensuring communication remains centralized within the awarding agency. The contract is managed through the Indian Head office in Maryland, consistent with the Department of Defense's operational framework for technology development and procurement.
