14--Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) Initial Production Facility (IPF) for the FY 2009 requirement. The contractor shall furnish all services,facilities,equipment, manufacturing efforts to produce PAC-3 MSE IPF for Full Rate Production (FRP).

This sole source Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract with Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Dallas, Texas, focuses on the acquisition of the Initial Production Facility for the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, validation, and verification of one lot of special tooling, special inspection equipment, and special test equipment necessary to manufacture the MSE missile and canister configuration. The contractor is responsible for delivering and integrating this equipment to support an initial monthly production rate of six MSE missiles and canisters, with a contractual option to scale up to a full rate production capacity of 20 units per month. Funded by Missile Procurement Army funds, the effort ensures the necessary manufacturing infrastructure is in place to meet Department of Defense requirements.
