The Naval Air Systems Command plans to issue a firm fixed price contract modification to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation in San Diego, CA, under an existing contract. This modification focuses on non-recurring engineering work to update the BQM-74 Aerial Target ZL-5 Launcher and the BQM-74 Maintenance Stand. The updates aim to enable these systems to support the Integrated Test Set Engine Gas Temperature probe, a critical component for performance monitoring and testing. Northrop Grumman is uniquely qualified to perform this work due to its exclusive access to proprietary data, specialized software, and the necessary experienced personnel, allowing the project to proceed efficiently and within the required timeframe. This approach avoids unnecessary duplication of costs for the government. The contract falls under the NAICS code 336414 and is managed by the Naval Air Systems Command office in Patuxent River, Maryland. Contract specialists Francis P. Fisher and Stephen J. Lucianetti serve as points of contact for this procurement.
