This contract amendment pertains to the reprocurement of spare and repair parts for MD500 Series and MELB aircraft under solicitation USZA95-02-R-0029. The key modification removes the brand name restriction by allowing FAA/PMA parts that are specifically approved as substitutes to be offered in place of listed parts, provided contractors submit complete FAA/PMA certifications for these parts. These certifications will be evaluated at the final assessment stage for award consideration while maintaining proposal confidentiality. The amendment also clarifies that the contract award will go to the technically acceptable offeror with the lowest price and satisfactory past performance, which is graded on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis. Additionally, all amendments and clarifications to the solicitation will be posted exclusively on the FedBizOps.gov website. The response deadline has been extended to September 17, 2002. Aside from these changes, all other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged. The contracting agency is the Department of Defense, specifically through the AMSAM-SPK office located in Fort Eustis, Virginia.
