In the interest of assessing the availability of an industry-procured Space Environmental Sensor-2 (SEM-2) sensor (with one engineering design unit and two flight units), the IPO is requesting information on industrys interest and recommendations for mitigating perceived risks. The following description addresses basic passive space particle sensor concept(s), schedule, and risks that should be mitigated and provides a series of questions that will help the IPO develop a successful acquisition strategy for the new NPOESS space environment sensor. Questions or concerns regarding this request for information shall be sent, in writing to the Contracting Officer, via email contact@example.gov, or via letter to NPOESS Integrated Program Office, Attn: Mr. Jeff Dedrick, 8455 Colesville Road, Suite 1450, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
