1860 Thornsberry Road Restoration Project (Notification of Lake or Streambed Alteration, No. EPIMS-SON-57096-R3)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Bay Delta Region, has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SON-57096-R3 with Victor Zayas for the 1860 Thornsberry Road Restoration Project. Located at Haraszthy Creek in Sonoma County, California, the project is conducted pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code and is classified as a habitat restoration project under a Class 33 categorical exemption. The primary objective is the removal of unpermitted rock riprap and the restoration of the riparian corridor. The scope of work includes the removal of approximately 0.047 acres of unauthorized rock fill and sediment using heavy equipment, and an additional 0.023 acres of sediment using hand tools. Additionally, the project requires the removal of boulders and a wood pile from the top of the bank. Restoration efforts involve enhancing approximately 0.51 acres of the riparian corridor with native plantings, with a strict requirement that no trees be removed.
