19--Canyonlands National Park River Boats

Canyonlands National Park intends to award a sole source contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements, to Demaree Inflatable Boats, Inc. This requirement is for the acquisition of two boats: an 18' Inflatable Row Boat and a 24' River Freighter. The Demaree boats are made with military specified Neoprene with an autoclaved paint finish that never requires re-painting. This process also seals the seams of the boat in a unique way that makes them structurally more safe and sound. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 326199 with a business size standard of 500 employees. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement are invited to submit in writing, complete information describing their ability to provide this equipment. Such information should include cost proposal information for providing the items, and specific information addressing their products' specifications. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the NPS not to open the requirement to competition is solely within the discretion of the NPS. If no affirmative written responses are received by close of business August 17, 2007, a sole source contract will be issued to Demaree Inflatable Boats, Inc.
