Full Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for the US Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI). Solicitation W52P1J-14-T-0015 serves as notification to industry of the forthcoming procurement to complete a Life-Cycle Refurbishment of the AM 1100 Series Silver Ship Security Watercraft and 42 foot 3-axle float on Loadmaster Trailer. The contractor shall provide refurbishment of watercraft to include replacement of HONDA 250 HP engines (2 each), new sheath for collar, upgrade of Pilothouse, upgrade of electrical system. Boat will be sand blasted and painted with anti fouling paint. The 42 foot Loadmaster 3-axle float on trailer will undergo a total rebuild to include but not limited to the following; replacement of axle assemblies, bearing, seals, u-bolts, and hardware. Replace brake master cylinder, hoses, and brass connections and replace lights with new LED lighting kit. The contractor shall provide all personnel, management, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies, materials, and any other items and services necessary to perform the refurbishment. The refurbishment of the Silver Ship Watercraft and the Loadmaster Trailer shall be completed 120 days after award. All services shall be performed in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) dated 05 May 2014, to be issued with the solicitation. The anticipated date for release of the Request for Quote (RFQ) is on/or about June 06, 2014. The Government anticipates awarding a single Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to the responsible offeror with the lowest price. It is anticipated that this procurement will utilize a total Small Business Set-aside. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 336612. Note: All contractors interested in doing business with the US Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
