The updated Special Notice modifies the original announcement for the second Mobile Landing Platform (MLP) Industry Day, scheduled for May 20 to May 22, 2008. This event, organized by Program Executive Office (PEO) Ships, Strategic and Theatre Program Office (PMS 385), aims to provide detailed information on the updated draft MLP System Specification to enhance industry understanding of Navy requirements. The conference will be held at Maritime Plaza II in Washington DC, with advance registration required. A key update to the registration process is the mandatory submission of a valid DD Form 2345, the Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement, which is essential for attendance. Each organization is limited to five attendees, and the registration deadline is May 14, 2008. Instructions for obtaining the necessary DD Form 2345 and additional event details, including an agenda and draft performance specification, will be made available on the PEO Ships MLP website. This Industry Day follows the initial event held in March 2008 and continues the Navy's effort to engage with industry partners including shipbuilders, design agents, and equipment vendors. Attendees must provide detailed information upon registration, including contact information and business type, along with the DD Form 2345. The purpose of these sessions is to clarify specifications and provide a platform for questions and answers related to the MLP program. All relevant materials from the first Industry Day and updated documents related to the specification are accessible online to support potential contractors in preparing for the evolving Navy program requirements.
