This contract represents the first annual synopsis for a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) between the Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) and Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Maritime Systems & Sensors Division, covering repair services from March 1, 2007, through March 1, 2008. The agreement encompasses the evaluation and repair of over 600 specific items, which are too numerous to list individually in the synopsis. Repair orders under this BOA will generally be issued without individual synopses unless the order exceeds $25,000, in which case specific repair candidates will be announced in accordance with federal acquisition regulations. Orders issued under this BOA are governed by 10 USC 2304(c)(1) due to the Government’s current lack of data necessary to fully compete the repair efforts. The solicitation includes guidance identified as LA27LN for companies interested in offering alternate products for supply. The contract is managed by the Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mechanic office, located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and serves as a presolicitation notice to facilitate planning and preparation for repair orders under this agreement.
