2026/2027 Supply, Delivery & Planting of Trees

The County of Brant is soliciting bids under contract COM-RFT-26-06 for the supply, delivery, and hand-planting of approximately 170 trees with a 40-50mm caliper. The project is divided into two stages, with the first phase occurring upon award and concluding by December 1, 2026, and the second phase beginning in March and concluding by June 3, 2027. Planting locations include road-sides, boulevards, and parks across Burford, Paris, St. George, and Onondaga Park. The contract is a stipulated price agreement with a one-year term and two optional one-year extensions, including a mandatory 24-month warranty on all trees and materials. Qualified contractors must be skilled landscape providers employing at least one ISA Certified Arborist and a dedicated Field Supervisor. All plant materials must adhere to the Canadian Standards for Nursery Stock and be hardy within Canadian Plant Hardiness Zone 5a. The contractor is required to use a customized web-based application for real-time work updates, which is a prerequisite for inspection and payment. Bids are due by September 24, 2026, via the electronic bidding system. Awarded vendors must provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including WSIB and commercial general liability, and will be paid via electronic funds transfer within 28 days of receiving a proper invoice.
