2026-PRC-01 RCMP HVAC

The Contract for the 2026-PRC-01 RCMP HVAC project requires the complete replacement of the existing heating and cooling system with new rooftop units and split system heat pumps, with the Prime Contractor responsible for full oversight, coordination, and execution of all work elements. This includes the demolition and disposal of all outdated equipment, ducting, piping, and components, alongside the installation of new electrical systems, mechanical ductwork, refrigeration and condensate lines, insulation, and all necessary hangers and penetrations. The Prime Contractor must also integrate structural supports and roof curbs, perform roof penetrations and finishing, and ensure all new equipment is equipped with seismic restraints compliant with current codes. Testing, adjusting, and balancing of the entire mechanical system must be completed to verify performance, and all control wiring, programming, and interfaces must be installed and integrated to allow seamless operation with the new equipment. The project is administered by the Town of Ladysmith under the Government of Canada, with a solicitation number of BC228509 and a response deadline of May 22, 2026. All work must be completed in strict coordination with sub-trades to ensure timely and code-compliant execution. The Prime Contractor is accountable for managing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to fulfill every requirement, from demolition through final commissioning, with no aspect of the installation exempt from their responsibility.
