2027-2029 Magnetic Rope Testing at Cannon Mountain

The New Hampshire Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is seeking a contractor to provide non-destructive electromagnetic wire rope testing and inspection services at Cannon Mountain for the period of 2027 through 2029. The scope of work includes testing all four track cables and both the upper and lower haul ropes of the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, as well as the complete length of the detachable haul rope at the Peabody Express. The selected vendor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, and instrumentation, delivering detailed written inspection reports that document test results, identify anomalies such as wire breaks or metallic area loss, and provide recommendations for corrective actions. The contract will be awarded to the compliant vendor offering the lowest total cost. Bids are due by November 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST and must be submitted via email to David Webster. Eligible vendors must be registered and in good standing with the New Hampshire Secretary of State, maintain a vendor application with the Bureau of Purchase and Property, and provide proof of comprehensive general liability insurance of at least 1 million dollars per occurrence and 2 million dollars aggregate, along with required workers compensation insurance. Work is to be performed between 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., with a requirement for ten-day advance notice of schedules and a mandatory coordination conference prior to the commencement of services. Invoices are to be submitted monthly, with payment issued within thirty days following the state's satisfaction and acceptance of the work.
